AFL production contract changes hands

NEP Australia is now supplier of AFL broadcasts for Seven.

Broadcast production of AFL matches for Seven has changed hands from Gearhouse Broadcast Australia to NEP Australia.

NEP acquired Global Television in 2014.

A Seven spokesperson told TV Tonight, “There are many contractors on Seven’s productions both sporting and dramatic. It’s not our policy to comment on who we engage as suppliers from time to time. They all contribute to high quality work product that is Seven and 7Sport productions. Our relationship with both our principal sporting suppliers is strong. Horses for courses.”

Both NEP and Gearhouse are still suppliers to various Seven productions.

Both NEP and Gearhouse declined to comment.

  1. NEP is also doing the broadcast and setting up of the International Broadcast Centre for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Also NEP is located next door to Seven and Pacific Magazines at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney
