  1. Just watched last nights AGT. Oh dear….the punters are right…..terrble talent, terrible host, terrible judges…..constant interruptions with judges and Hughes miked up during the performance interrupting with useless comments and constant shots of them. Really hard to see it improving which is a shame because the US and UK versions are miles better.

  2. I’ve watched a number of seasons of Farmer Wants a Wife and I must admit it’s definitely not must watch television. For me I think part of the problem is it all feels very rushed, especially early on and there is little time spent on ‘character development’. By that I mean I still struggle with who is who in terms of the girls even at this stage of the show, since we don’t get a great deal of time with each of them at the beginning of the show.

My thought would be to spend more time at the initial stage and say send each farmer on proper dates with all of the girls that have been selected. I think one of the reasons First Dates is working well is you get a lot of time with each couple to better know them as a possible couple straight away. If we had more time with the farmers getting to know every girl at the start, I think we’d be more hooked on who he chooses from that point on.

  3. Nine don’t seem to be able to take a trick these days, but they don’t have much of a line up of shows which appeal to the viewers, think Australia’s Got Talent should be laid to rest permanently, it definitely has passed its use by date, try new shows instead of trying to resurrect old ones, but nine seems to have lost its direction over the past few years which is a shame as it was number one there for a number of years.

    1. Nine dumped Excess Baggage to Go after 6 eps.
How could you have a revived show starting in Feb and ratings not coming up?
This is similar to Ten back in 2014 when they revived SYTYCDA in Feb and dismal ratings continue.

  4. Perhaps the ratings drop is because The Farmer Wants A Wife’s choice of farmers this year are dreadful. We have one that failed an experiment on another TV reality show, and then there’s the old groper Lance. OMG what a tool! If I have to see him smack another woman on the bum or grope her boob again I may give up on this show forever!
