Speculation today that Seven News boss Craig McPherson is considering changes in the Brisbane newsroom, but not to Sharyn Ghidella or afternoon presenter Kendall Gilding.

With the bulletin trailing Nine News, News Corp reports news director Neil Warren may be “on the outer with some.”

Since his appointment in October, McPherson has already overseen changes with Sydney’s Rob Raschke and Chris Willis plus Adelaide’s Terry Plane all gone.

A spokeswoman for Seven confirmed McPherson had recently made a trip to the Brisbane office, while
managing director of Seven Brisbane Max Walters denied the rumours.

  1. Rod and Kay should never have been replaced. They had a very comfortable lead which has dwindled away to a massive deficit in the 3 years since they were shafted.
As for Sydney, a new set and graphics has done absolutely nothing to improve the ratings. Bath shouldn’t have been replaced. Ferguson has never resonated with audiences.

  2. Well i always watch Sharyn & Bill at 6. Hope they don’t change the presenters again! They should never have shafted Kay & Rod to weekends as they were winning in Brisbane sigh… just think 7news needs a major overhaul graphics, set etc…a new theme won’t bring new viewers in!
