FOX Sports coverage of the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park begins at 12pm tomorrow.

It features Live, HD coverage of all Formula 1 practice sessions, and continuous coverage of qualifying sessions and the Australian Grand Prix, ad-break free.

The line-up includes ex-drivers, Martin Brundle, Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert, and commentators Ted Kravitz and David Croft.

Daniel Ricciardo said: “Testing’s been a lot better for us this year. You still don’t really know where you are until you get to Melbourne, but we’re better prepared than we were this time last year so we can use that as some confidence.

“I think everyone’s excited to get going, but even if the race was elsewhere I think there’s no-one more excited than me to go racing, period! But the fact that it’s in Oz and I’m going to have more supporters than anyone else, hell yeah I’m excited!”

FOX Sports News 500 will also provide daily updates from on the ground at Albert Park.

  1. Hi David,
Could you please investigate this split-screen ad break business on Fox Sports coverage? Foxtel tweeted that it’s a caveat from Channel 10 that they had to have ad breaks. I’d like to know how they can advertise everything is ad free in live play (“We’re not an ad loving nation” commercial, quite funny) but then interrupt live sport with split screen ads? They might argue it’s not a “break”, but it is a complete distraction from the action.

  2. I hate that TEN is basically running things for the local round, but the rest of the year we get just the race and for half the rounds it’s just 1 hour of highlights. So those of use who paid for Foxtel still have ad breaks, not Thursday coverage and even today the TEN coverage started 30 minutes before Foxtel, at least it did here in QLD.

David is the Melbourne F1 covered by the list of protected sports on FTA?
