Delta Goodrem has ruled herself out of contention for competing in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Responding to speculation on Twitter, yesterday she advised “Not me my lovelies! I got a world of music (going) on but I’m sure whoever is doing will be awesome and we will all get behind xx”
Meanwhile TV Tonight hears she is indeed locked on to portray Olivia Newton-John in the bio-drama being developed for Seven by FremantleMedia.
Goodrem’s name has been in contention in the past, with reports Olivia Newton-John asked her not to participate.
Reports last year suggested ONJ had issued a “Cease and Desist” letter to the production.
Meanwhile the Eurovision act will be named tonight around 9:40pm with Fairfax tipping Dami Im to represent us as an Asia Pacific entry.

Old soap-trick by ONJ. The old “Create back story! Create friction!”.
I so clicked into this thinking that it was going to be about Olivia representing us at Eurovision!
She may get to the Eurovision stage anyway portraying ONJ! Olivia represented the UK in 1974, maybe that will make the cut in the biopic.
Damn!
