Hugh Sheridan is joining the 5th season of House Husbands.
He will play Nick Gazecki, Nepean South’s specialist music teacher who hits all the right notes with the kids. He is their in-house Pied Piper, encouraging them to bang and clang to their hearts’ content. But he hits a glitch however in the form of Lewis Crabb (Gary Sweet).
“I feel very lucky to join the extraordinary team who have created this hit show. I’m pumped to get on set and rock with the cast – I hear they’re a lot of fun,” he said.
Nine’s co-Heads of Drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, said: “Australia’s favourite House Husbands won’t know what’s hit them when Hugh Sheridan blasts into their world. Hugh is one of Australia’s most popular and gifted actors, and we’re delighted he’s joining Nine as our newest and most intriguing House Husband.”
The Playmaker series will return later this year.

This usually airs after Easter. Any reason why they are filming it late this year?
Love Child will be after Easter.
Thanks David.
There was talk last year that House Husbands would get a new “Husband”. Is Hugh it or is there another new character to come.
Hopefully he has a shave by then. The beard does him no favours.
A matter of taste, clearly. Looks very groomed from here. Not sure when the photo was taken.
