A reminder to NRL fans that a new entertainment show premieres tonight, League Nation Live on NITV.

NITV’s latest sports entertainment offering, League Nation Live, enters the season tonight with a host of big game names – featuring interviews with Wayne Bennett, Johnathan Thurston and Greg Inglis, alongside live studio guests, NRL stars Wendell Sailor, Scott Prince, Ryan James and Preston Campbell, IronWoman Tara Coleman, renowned journalist Stan Grant and Australian singer-songwriter Shannon Noll.

Hosts Justin Hodges, Aaron Fa’Aoso, Hannah Hollis, Jodan Perry and Nathan Appo welcome audiences onto the League Nation Live field, which captures the best of Australia’s favourite football code, the NRL, every Tuesday night.

Speaking to Justin Hodges, Broncos and newly appointed England Coach, Wayne Bennett, confidently discusses the Brisbane team’s season ahead:

“[The team] has played with me for 12 months and they’re more relaxed and more confident with what I want from them.”

“[Anthony Milford] has only scratched the surface on what he can do.”

“There has never been a combo like Alfie (Allan Langer) and Kevy (Kevin Walters) ….. Hunt (Ben Hunt) and Milford (Anthony Milford) will make the Bronco’s a potent force in the next decade.”

On Corey Parker heading up the Bronco’s team, the Coach says:

“He leads by example, which is really important to me.”

“He’s defensively involved and he doesn’t look for any short cuts, which everyone respects.”

“He handles himself a lot better than in the past.”

On taking on the next World Cup as England Coach, Bennett comments:

“New Zealand is number one, Australia is number two and I think England is number three…..England has lost their way a little bit in the last 15 years ….. I think I can make a bit of a difference at an international level.”

Full interviews can be seen in tonight’s first episode of League Nation Live, 7.30pm on NITV.

Produced by Indigenous production company, Carbon Media, in front of a live Brisbane studio audience, League Nation Live brings 90 jam-packed minutes of entertainment and sports each Tuesday night. From community clubs to the State of Origin, all layers of the game will be covered by some of the country’s biggest league personalities, alongside entertainment guests and performances.

  1. Good to see a NRL show to complement Marngrook on NITV. Interesting scheduling. While Marngrook previews the following AFL round, it looks like LNL will be reviewing the past round as well as previewing the next.
