“As we continue to further our strategy of more year-round original programming, picking up these 11 series for the 2016-2017 season puts us in a great position of having proven, high-quality shows to launch in the fall as well as midseason and summer of 2017.”

  1. Have to say, I’m loving Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at the moment. I honestly didn’t think I’d like it from the slightly odd CW trailer but happened to catch it on 11 when it started and I thoroughly enjoy watching it every week! The songs are hilarious!

    1. I feel the same. I really battle through the series now, I’ve felt that way for a few years. I can’t quit it though, I tend to watch shows to the bitter end so I feel like my sentence has just been extended! I only enjoy the monster of the week eps these days, the season arc stories have lost any sense of threat given how many times Dean and Sam have returned from the dead.

  2. The CW is moving to scripted content year round and makes a lot of its revenue from subsequent SVOD sales, because it shows appeal to teenagers.

Glad Crazy Ex-Girlfriend got renewed, it was the only fresh, interesting show form the Fall season.

  3. I’m really chuffed that the intertwined Arrive, Flash and Legends Of Tomorrow are all doing so well both independently and with their occasional crossovers to help keep their universe buoyant. I’m loving all three shows.
