Seven scoops six from six

Ratings: As the ratings take an Easter break, Seven is sitting pretty, while Nine puts some late runs on the board.

Seven now has 6 wins from 6 weeks, as TV heads into two weeks of Easter non-ratings.

Seven’s start to the year has been impressive, with Nine and TEN barely able to chalk up any hits against the might of My Kitchen Rules.

Morning television and 7flix notwithstanding, Seven’s primetime is the poster child for Free to Air ratings.

But last week Nine came home with a wet sail thanks to the NRL and ICC World Twenty20 Cricket. Nine managed to win the week in the biggest markets, Sydney and Melbourne.

TEN’s share dropped slightly without I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here but its newer titles were amongst its best. It just needs them to rate higher.

One Response

  1. Seven winning the ratings regardless of whether the main channel is in HD or not would no doubt be their best argument right now not to outlay the expense to switch the main channel to HD.

Also – with 7flix only contributing 1.4% to Seven’s network share, they’d be winning even if 7flix did not launch (which perhaps would have allowed Seven to put more thought into the channel and its programming).
