Stan will screen US drama series Mad Dogs, which centres around a group of friends who gather in Bellize but soon finds one of them winds up dead.

The Amazon series stars Michael Imperioli, Billy Zane, Steve Zahn, Romany Malco and Ben Chaplin and premiered in the US in January.

This is the US adaptation of the UK 2011 drama which starred John Simm, Marc Warren, Max Beesley, Philip Glenister and Ben Chaplin (which is also available on Stan). While that ran across 4 years, the US version was not renewed after 10 episodes.

Premiering on April 22nd, the full series will be available at once.

Cobi, Lex, Gus and Joel gather to celebrate the early retirement of their old friend Milo at his gorgeous Belizean villa. But their camaraderie doesn’t last long as old grudges resurface, secrets explode, and their trip to paradise quickly becomes a labyrinthine nightmare of lies, deception and murder.

The series stars Ben Chaplin (“The Thin Red Line,” “Murder By Numbers”), Michael Imperioli (“The Sopranos,” “Goodfellas”), Romany Malco (“The Forty-Year-Old Virgin,” “Weeds”), Steve Zahn (“Dallas Buyers Club,” “Treme”) and Billy Zane (“Titanic,” “Twin Peaks”).

Executive producers are Shawn Ryan (“The Shield,” “Last Resort”), Cris Cole (“The Good Times Are Killing Me,” “Mad Dogs,” U.K. version), Marney Hochman (“Last Resort”), Andy Harries (“Strike Back,” “Mad Dogs,” U.K.), Suzanne Mackie (“Kinky Boots,” “Mad Dogs,” U.K.) and Charles McDougall (“The Good Wife,” “The Office”).
