It’s an Australian tradition: sitting on the couch chucking opinions at the Logie Awards.

“Who the hell is that?…. What’s with that frock? …..I think he’s had a few too many…. Who voted for this crap?… This is dragging on forever!”

So with that in mind TV Tonight would like to put in an early request that Gogglebox reviews the Logie Awards.

Last year the show was not on air at Logie time, but now it falls directly under its radar.

The Foxtel / TEN show has also endeavoured to keep its participants from the spotlight, declining red carpet invites and many interviews. This year the show itself is up for an award, so it’s unclear if any talent would accept the award alongside producers.

Logie producers should really also incorporate them into a video segment or two. You know you want to…

  1. The Logies have always been terrible. But they did used to be more entertainingly terrible. And people did sit through them and hurl abuse at the screen. But I don’t know anyone who’d bother to do that now. If you’re at all curious you tape it and fast-forward through, stopping only at any highlights. Anything else is just too painful.

    Yeaaah, I don’t know a single person that has ever done this, I really don’t think it’s an Australian tradition at all.

    2. I do and have been doing so for the last 25 yrs. record the Logies so I can skip the boring awards n boring speeches . Bert used to b the highlight but not any more

  3. The U.K. Version watched the BAFTAS a couple of years again when the show was nominated and won, but only showed the segment of their win as the final show for the episode. No cast were at the awards.

    1. Actually when Googlebox is up for any TV awards in the UK one family normally always goes. There is always some sort of representation and also it is shown in the UK if they win also.

  4. A poor man’s copy of the UK version. These people are boring compared to the UK ones. Half the people cast in the australian ones are copies of the original cast in the UK. A prime example of this are in australia there are the two loud greek ladies in UJ there are two loud british black people, in the UK there are the two art snobs and oh look in australia there are the same I could continue. To the produces of the Australia version get rid of half these people and give us people who are actually entertaining. I have tried to watch this but my god if i ever have trouble sleeping this helps and puts me to sleep.

  6. When is the next episode of fashion police on Foxtel ? The met gala is on and anew Ep of fashion pol aired in the US on 27/4 but I can’t find it on Foxtel

      1. Thanks David . I just scrolled thru Foxtel guide app n found its next week. I thought it was this wk and didn’t want to miss it. Wonder y they don’t have it every wk. there’s always Sth going on that they can comment on.
