SPOILER ALERT!

Kit Harington has responded in an interview to suggestions his Game of Thrones character will be back in action, in some form.

Since the death of Jon Snow, fans have fuelled speculation he may continue, perhaps in some ghostly form.

But Harington, who was seen on set at Season 6 filming has told The Jonathan Ross Show he was back only for scenes as a corpse.

Asked about how he keeps the show’s secrets without giving anything away, he said: “I am no longer involved in the show, so any secrets that are with the show, I don’t actually know anymore, so it becomes very easy, Jonathan.

“You’re looking at me like you don’t believe me. It’s going to be so relieving when people actually see the show and realise that I don’t come back.

“It was spread over a bit, and I was playing a corpse.

“I won’t tell you how many episodes I’m lying dead, but it’s enough that I was out there for quite a while. It’s going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realise that I was telling the truth the whole time.”

  1. A corpse could equal a white walker or brought back from the dead still as the human Jon Snow since technically he wouldn’t be alive in a normal sense anymore. I don’t understand why fandoms want actors or anyone involved with the production of TV series to be truthful with their unaired storylines, it kind of wrecks the whole point of seeing a story unfold! And then if they have lied the fandom cries foul afterwards. Really, why do they want the whole story spoilt?! I am going to be so so sad if Jon doesn’t return, he’s one of the best characters and it kind of seems a bit pointless without him, his story was the anchor as it seemed he would seize the Iron Throne – or at least King of the North. If that is it for him, there are a lot of threads that will be left hanging, not least of which, does R+L=J?! He can’t have gone to his death without knowing, please no! That’s almost as…

    1. From book 1 it looked like Snow was going to lead the Watch and the North in the final conflict. But Martin likes confounding expections and killing off characters, and the TV is deviating and condensing his story.

The Producers and Harrington both said the character was dead and Harrington would not be participating further. Of course everyone on social media believes the opposite. They should have just said we don’t give out spoilers, watch and find out. That way everyone is free to speculate and be surprised when it airs.

The most logical thing would be for him to be resurrected by Melisandre as a servant of the Light. But the TV shows has moved away from resurrecting dead characters as in the books.

Anyway is only a couple weeks till it airs, then everyone can go on to being silly about something else.
