MasterChef Australia is jetting off overseas once again, resuming its annual week of episodes on foreign shores.

This year the show will head to California, visiting San Francisco, the Napa Valley, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and San Diego.

It’s been several years since the show has featured overseas episodes, with previous sojourns to Hong Kong, London, Paris, New York, Italy and Dubai.

TEN Executive Producer, Rick Maier, said: “Food and travel, what’s not to love? MasterChef Australia has become not just a fan favourite here, but with the best of the best of the cooking community on a global scale.

“That’s why Marco, Nigella and Heston are here for season eight, and why we are so thrilled to take the show on the road again – this time to North America in the Spring – thanks to our partners Qantas and Visit California. When you mix all that in with some of the best home cooks we have seen, it’s a recipe for another big season of our favourite show.”

MasterChef Australia returns soon.

  1. Oh, great news, I’ve missed the overseas trips. I think they stopped when they moved to Melbourne. They used to go interstate too. They went to Western Australia, Qld & Melbourne back when it was filmed in Sydney. Always thought the contestants in recent series must feel a bit ripped off missing out on overseas trips.

  2. About time they rewarded fans, contestants and judges with the return of international week.
The last couple of seasons seem to have been primarily studio based. The producers must have saved quite a bit.
Would love to see more outdoor challenges.
