Melissa McCarthy back for Gilmore Girls revival

Gilmore Girls fans are elated at the news that Melissa McCarthy is returning to the revival, coming to Netflix.
She broke the news Sookie would return on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“There has something I’ve been asked about so, so many times, and it hasn’t worked out. They’re making four new movies of the Gilmore Girls, which is a show that was near and dear to my heart for four years, and we could not get those schedules to work,” McCarthy told DeGeneres.
“There was a whole thing, and then I was going to be out of the country, and literally about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that I’m going to go back and do it, and I am so excited! They’re going to be amazing.”
The announcement has plenty of love from GG fans on social media, many of whom had feared she would miss out.
Netflix has also released “first look” photos of the revival available on Variety.

I think this had been planned for months, probably since the first news the Melissa was not asked started to appear in the media, what better way to create buzz for the revival and get Melissa fans interested, especially those who may not have seen GG when it first aired.
David is there any news when we will get the revival here, last I heard the reruns of Gilmore Girls have not made there was to the local Netflix.
Netflix has titles confirmed until Sept (including internationally) and it isn’t amongst those.
I am so excited also, can’t wait to see these eps and now Sookie is able to be squeezed in around Melissa’s very busy schedule is great news for all of us Gilmore fans.
So happy! It’ll only be one scene or whatever but it wouldn’t feel quite the same without any Sookie. It’ll be hard enough with no Richard 🙁
