Ratings: Four Corners scores for ABC while Married at First Sight proves to be a better fit than Reno Rumble.

Seven rebounded last night after Nine took the lead on Sunday, thanks to its My Kitchen Rules and Downton Abbey combo. Drawing 838,000 at 9pm, the latter almost eclipsed everything else that was on offer on other networks at 7:30pm. Others will take comfort that the ending is now just a fortnight away.

Nine’s season premiere of Married at First Sight was third in its timeslot on 771,000, but the network has avoided the car-crash of Reno Rumble in the slot, which actually improved in its later slot.

All Star Family Feud lifted for TEN and Four Corners had a strong night on ABC.

Seven Network won with 32.2% then Nine 25.0%, ABC 20.0%, TEN 17.5% and SBS 5.3%.

My Kitchen Rules was #1 with 1.27m viewers for Seven then Seven News (1.09m / 1.03m), Downton Abbey (838,000), Home and Away (792,000), The Chase (665,000 / 449,000).

Nine News (1.08m / 1.02m) led for Nine followed by A Current Affair (789,000), Married at First Sight (771,000), Hot Seat (621,000) and Reno Rumble (424,000). Footy Classified was 173,000 in 3 cities. Grey’s Anatomy was 148,000 on Seven.

Four Corners (902,00) topped ABC’s night, something of a rarity. ABC News drew 869,000 then 7:30 (853,000), Australian Story (800,000), Media Watch (712,000) and Q&A (453,000).

All Star Family Feud pulled 670,000 on TEN. The Project was 602,000 / 468,000, TEN Eyewitness News (531,000) and the Melbourne Comedy Festival Supershow (460,000).

On SBS it was Secrets of the Brain (203,000), SBS World News (138,000), Sex Diaries (132,000) and Royal Navy School (119,000).

Today: 336,000
Sunrise: 317,000
ABC News Breakfast: 83,000 / 47,000

ABC2’s Octonauts led multichannels with 233,000.

  1. Well, I’ve decided there’s no point of trying to watch any episode of Grey’s Anatomy as tvf keeps on giving everything away.

    (joke, Joyce).

    1. LOL……but the episodes already aired so nothings actually been given away.

I think its nice discuss content rather than just scheduling/ratings.

      1. Where the content has aired it’s not considered a Spoiler here. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s the one I’ve adopted, otherwise there is no clarity about what date is fine to discuss.

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed last nights episode of Downton Abbey. Really felt like one of their season 1 episodes again. Who would of expected Tom to be the one to hold the family together after all thats happened with him..

  3. I think its awesome that edith is going to outrank mary when she gets married in the christmas episode. (Not a spoiler cause its obvious from the promos for the christmas special on channel 7 that its going to happen).

  4. What an episode of greys. The whole episode gives us an entire rundown of april and jacksons relationship including unseen scenes of when they got married and then after taking us through that rollercoaster they get divorced. But then after all that we find out that april is pregnant. So there’s more to come. Good episode and shame on channel 7 for putting us viewers 6 episodes behind.

  5. Third week in a row had to watch greys on plus7 as had issues with it on 7flix. This is ridiculous. As far as I’m aware 9hd and 10hd are on mpeg4 and no issues there so why can’t 7 get it right. Its not like its a new issue.

As viewers we’re told downloading is very bad, then we’re told its ok to wait weeks or months for an episode to air and when it finally airs there are issues that’s make it unwatchable.

I know that greys also has a run on 7 but not all shows airing on 7flix have a channel 7 airing and not everyone has access to plus7 so this needs to be fixed.
