Pedal to the metal, Easter non-ratings are over.

In Easter 2015 and 2014 Seven rested My Kitchen Rules for the first week but resumed it in the second.

This year it maintained the show 3 nights a week and undermined Nine’s Reno Rumble return (some might argue Nine’s show did that to itself).

Whatever the theories, the outcome is no argument. Nine has moved its renovation show to a later timeslot after a second week of disappointing figures. Reno Rumble went so low that even TEN slipped in front of the network on Tuesday.

My Kitchen Rules was the top rating show of the week with 1.37m viewers on Tuesday -more than three times the audience of Nine’s renovation show.

The only upside for Nine is that the two weeks of under-performing figures were outside of survey and won’t directly impact on its annual share.

Survey ratings now continue unabated until the end of November.
