British chef Rachel Khoo, who featured recently in My Kitchen Rules will co-host Zumbo’s Just Desserts alongside pâtissier, Adriano Zumbo.
She will join Zumbo as amateur dessert makers face off for the series title of dessert king or queen. Khoo has also filmed five cooking and travel TV programs in the past four years, including Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook: Melbourne, screening on SBS.
“I’m super excited and looking forward to focusing on what got me into food. Plus I absolutely love desserts,” she said.
“I’ve admired (Adriano Zumbo’s) work for many years. He’s got an amazing talent for making not only stunning looking desserts but also desserts that taste as good as they look.”
Zumbo’s Just Desserts is produced by the same team as MKR, and airs later this year.

Seven could get a “celebrity chef” to open a can of beans and it would still rate in the millions.
Shhh, “Bean Counters with Maggie Beer” wasn’t meant to be announced until next year!
Great… Just what Australian TV needs, another cooking show… 🙁
It could be a strategic move by Seven. Churn out all these cooking shows. If it works, great. If it doesn’t work, they’ll at least have increased fatigue in cooking shows, thereby neutralising the threat of Masterchef/Ten.
Considering the popularity of shows like The Great British Bake-Off, etc, a baking reality format will probably do well.
Nine tried Bake Off, but it didn’t take. That said, though, people will watch any old crap on Seven.
I pray to god there are no scripted “bitches” or “backstabbers” for this show, I want to watch it and enjoy it.
I’d imagine there wouldn’t be, not if the exuberant, always-smiling Rachel Khoo is involved. But then, she was on MKR too…
David, can you confirm if this show will screen on 7 or SBS. I’m sure it’s SBS as i heard this before but people on here seem to think it’s 7. Can you clarifiy
Seven.
Perhaps 7 will get their “just desserts”
Unsure if this will be a ratings smash or flop, but it will be not on my tv menu!
Next from Channel 7, Breakfast Revolution followed by My Coffee Shop Rules.
My Coffee Shop Rules – I like that! You should pitch the concept to Seven. Australia has such a cafe culture now, this reality show idea could have legs.
Seriously more food shows. Have seven not learnt from restaurant revolution or backyard bbq. Here hoping to a fail. Id rather watch my dog house rules or somethin
I guess he won’t be preparing challenges for MasterChef anymore now that he has been signed by Seven. Rachel was lovely on MKR, I am sure she will be great on this one as well.
It’s a wonder why it was not called My Dessert Rules. OMG I should register that name LOL.
First houses, then barbecues, now desserts. What’s next? Gardens, sports or a music (pmread singing) competition? Something else?? Place your bets
