US comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed for both a 13th and 14th season.
With Season 12 due in early 2017, the two-season renewal takes the comedy through 2019.
Remarkably, the renewal sees it tie with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest-running live-action comedy series in US history.
The recently-concluded 11th season finished as the top scripted comedy on basic and premium cable. In Live+7 it drew 1.4 million for FXX, since 2013 it is up 24% in total viewers.
The series, starring Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito airs late nights in Australia on Seven.

A series that’s ‘not to everyone’s taste but it is fearless and well acted.
