Appears the OJ mini series is to blame for Ten’s woeful performance last night. Scorpion and Modern Family were all in the Top 20 – so they did OK.

Strange considering the OJ show is critically acclaimed and rating very well in America. Goldderby is predicting it will do very well in the Emmys this year.

Another puzzling thing about last nights ratings is the Attenborough special. These specials rate through the roof when they are on ABC, Seven or Nine …but when they appear on Ten they tank. I just can’t explain this.

Oh well – Australia can be proud that shows like My Bitchen Rules and You’re back in the room with a bunch of amateur actors are rating through the roof.

    • I haven’t watched the OJ series but I assure you it’s doing terribly in Australia because Australians don’t want to watch good American TV. It’s not even a question anymore, we’re simply not interested in quality drama and comedy coming from the US.

We seem to have a soft spot for BBC productions that always rate well on BBC First then excellently once ABC picks them up.

  2. ‘You’re back in the room’ had a large slide in numbers last night, wonder if this is going to be about average now for the remainder of the series.
