Airdate: Agent Carter
Good news with Agent Carter finally getting an Aussie broadcast -but there's also a sting in the tail.

The good news is Agent Carter is finally set to premiere next month on 7flix.
The bad news…. it’s just been axed in the US.
The series features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, a secret agent and single woman in 1940s America, with Hayley Atwell reprising her role from Captain America.
Earlier this year readers voted it the unaired international show they most wanted to see in the annual TV Tonight Awards, doubtless due to the delays in its launch. S1 premiered in the US in January 2015, with S2 this January. It’s understood discussions to screen on Foxtel were not ultimately realised.
This week ABC announced the series would not be proceeding to a third season, but Seven will have 18 episodes all up.
It’s 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy Carter (Captain America’s Hayley Atwell) a serious blow as she finds herself marginalised when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers.
Updated: It launches with a double episode, 8:30pm Monday June 20Â on 7flix.

This article said that Agent Carter would be on Monday the 6th at 8:30pm, but i just checked the TV guide for the 6th on 7flix and it said that a movie called my best friend’s wedding is on. Please explain
Looks like 7flix have pushed it back to June 20.
Oh, its on the article. Thx 4 the infomation David
Very much dislike the choice of Monday nights for the show, nonetheless will be nice to watch the 18 episodes
Amusingly, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. included Peggy Carter’s obit in a newspaper when the show Agent Carter was cancelled.
Well, she was 93…although being dead isn’t as career ending in the Marvel world as you’d think.
I think it was more to do that her funeral was in the latest Captain America/Avengers 2.5 film, not the cancellation.
Very disappointing to hear it has been axed. Hayley Atwell was absolutely magnificent in this role. It would be great if maybe Netflix could pick it up given their relationship with Marvel. The show is too damn good to end with just two seasons.
Hallelujah! About bloody time. Been waiting for this for so long. Here’s hoping Seven air seasons one and two back to back and don’t leave us waiting another year to see it end. Here’s hoping the next 7flix premiere series is Royal Pains (the final season premieres next month but Seven are still a season behind).
7 recently aired season 7 of royal pains. The final season, season 8 of royal pains premiers tomorrow Australian time in the USA.
Oh terrific then I’m up to date. Thanks for the heads up ?. Here’s hoping there is some signal from Seven when it returns and not just hidden away in late night for everyone to find on their own.
Even shows that are buried away late at night have an audience and deserve some promotion so viewers know when they are airing. It would be nice if they aired royal pains soon whilst the last season is still so fresh in viewers minds. It airs late at night anyway so it shouldn’t be too hard to find a timeslot.
Get ready for double and triple episodes. I found Agent Carter to be the stronger of the two ABC Marvel productions. I lost interest in Agents of SHIELD just after the downfall of SHIELD.
