Stan will premiere two new US titles in coming weeks: the Cameron Crowe-created series Roadies and the US presidential campaign documentary The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth.

Roadies will premiere on June 27, with new episodes each week while The Circus begins on July 1 with 12 episodes available at once, and subsequent episodes available every week.

Roadies
Roadies marks the first original series from Oscar winner Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous), the executive producer alongside J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek films, Lost, Fringe), Winnie Holzman (Wicked, Once and Again), Bryan Burk (Star Trek and Mission: Impossible films, Lost, Fringe) and Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie), with Kathy Lingg (Person of Interest, Fringe) as co-executive producer.

The series is an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. It chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and puts the spotlight on the backstage workers who put the show on the road while on tour with a successful arena rock band.

Roadies stars Luke Wilson (Old School, Enlightened), Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Carla Gugino (San Andreas), Imogen Poots (The Look of Love), Rafe Spall (One Day), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Game of Thrones, Whale Rider), Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles), Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly (Beyond the Lights), Finesse Mitchell (Saturday Night Live) and Ron White (Blue Collar Comedy Tour). The series is produced by Bad Robot Productions, Vinyl Films and Dooley & Company Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Kelly Curtis, Pearl Jam’s manager and a regular collaborator with Crowe, serves as producer. Roadies is distributed around the world by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

The Circus
The 2016 US presidential campaign has dominated headlines across the globe. Real-time documentary series The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth pulls back the curtain on the presidential race, revealing the intense, inspiring and infuriating stories behind the headlines. Produced in cooperation with Bloomberg Politics, The Circus is a non-partisan, never-before-attempted take on what promises to be one of the most fascinating and consequential elections in modern history. The series is distributed worldwide by CBS Studios International.

This year Stan will exclusively premiere more than 25 hit TV shows on its streaming service. New content is added to Stan’s lineup every day, and on average one new first-run TV series will be made available to Australian viewers every two weeks.

  1. Yeah you won’t regret it Jackson. They add content every day unlike Netflix.

I remember an article on here with the head of Foxtel saying losing Showtime was no big deal and Stan would only get Billions and it was bombing and Twin Peaks in 2017. Roadies is from the Showtime deal as are a few of the shows that have appeared on Stan this year.

  2. OMG – I can’t wait for The Circus.. Stan is the only streaming service I hadn’t tried yet.. Not for any reason other than that there is only so many hours a night you can watch TV and I chose the others first. I have been thinking of trying Stan – and you know what – I will be trying it now for The Circus…
