US cable network TNT has released an extended sneak peek of Animal Kingdom, the US series based on the 2010 Australian film by David Michod.
It stars Ellen Barkin as the matriarch of a crime family, who recently stressed she was not looking to clone Jacki Weaver’s performance.
It also features Scott Speedman, Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, Daniella Alonso and Molly Gordon.
It is produced by John Wells Productions (Southland, ER, The West Wing, Shameless) and Jonathan Lisco (Southland, Halt and Catch Fire, Damages, NYPD Blue).
As yet no Australian broadcaster has indicated they will be screening the show.

Looks good… I think this will fit nicely on Foxtel’s FX channel, should they secure the rights… It’s got a Sons Of Anarchy vibe which I kind of enjoy, you know, an uneasy, ominous feel to it. I’m in!
A few TNT shows have gone to Stan, so that would be my tip.
Agree, looks really good. I was also thinking that this would fill the hole in my schedule left by SoA (and The Shield before that).
