It was the perennial Australian Story which took a dip last night, dropping from 682,000 last week to 539,000 last night. The show had good ABC numbers on either side of its timeslot, but not as much interest in judge turned opera composer, George Palmer.

It appears to be Masterchef that took viewers away. While The Voice won its slot, TEN’s was the only one of the three Reality shows to rise in numbers, at 893,000.

Nine network won Monday with 28.9% then Seven 26.2%, TEN 19.4%, ABC 19.3% and SBS 6.3%.

The Voice was #1 with 1.28m for Nine then Nine News (1.11m /1.04m), A Current Affair (951,000), Hot Seat (636,000) and Soundbreaking (540,000). Footy Classified was 167,000 in 3 cities.

Seven News (1.17m / 1.07m) was best for Seven then Home and Away (810,000), House Rules (730,000), The Chase (649,000 / 420,000) and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (466,000). Castle was 301,000.

MasterChef Australia drew 893,000 for TEN. Have You Been Paying Attention? was 687,000, The Project was 676,000 / 524,000, TEN Eyewitness News was 541,000. CSI: Cyber was just 218,000.

ABC News (798,000), Four Corners (729,000), 7:30 (706,000), Media Watch (687,000), Australian Story (539,000) and Q&A (513,000) comprised ABC’s Monday.

On SBS it was Michael Mosely: Trust Me I’m a Doctor (278,000), Greece with Simon Reeve (238,000) SBS World News (156,000) and What’s the Catch with Matthew Evans (140,000).

Shaun the Sheep sure was best on multichannels at 269,000.

  1. I watched The Voice, Australian Story, the rest of The Voice, Media Watch and The Blacklist on a USB stick. Taped Elementary and will stream Mad Men. Good night for the telly.

  2. Masterchef back in front of House Rules. It continues to surprise me that cooking beats singing in the younger demo. Have to love ratings quirks like that.

    1. I find some of the quirks between states interesting, The Voice comfortably beats Masterchef in Sydney, but in Melbourne Masterchef almost doubled The Voice last night! And in Brisbane Masterchef is a very distant third a long way behind The Voice and House Rules.
