This week CNN Business Traveller will screen its episode in which host Richard Quest visited Sydney, as part of his round-the-world on low-cost airlines.

Quest recently spent 24 hours in Sydney, visited the Opera House, went on a ferry, ate Vegemite on toast, went to the Royal Easter Show to appear on Sunrise, and interviewed the CEO of Jetstar.

This month on CNN ‘Business Traveller’ Richard Quest continues his epic adventure – 10 airlines, 9 countries, 8 days – all on low cost carriers. Part two of this round-the-world special starts in Singapore at the world’s number one airport, Changi. Quest experiences the interactive installation “The Social Tree” and accepts a viewer challenge of eating Durian cake.

From Singapore the journey continues to Sydney on Scoot. Quest tries Vegemite on toast, visits the Sydney Opera House and enjoys a ferry ride on the harbor. Quest and his team then fly to Hawaii on Jetstar, crossing the International Date Line, and re-living that day all over again.

There’s just enough time for Quest to dip his toe in the waters of Honolulu before jumping back on a plane to Los Angeles on Allegiant – allowing the ‘CNN Business Traveller’ team a few hours’ sleep before jetting off to New York via jetBlue.  Quest tries a classic NY-style hot dog and takes a selfie on Brooklyn Bridge, then it’s onwards to London Gatwick on Norwegian Air.

Crossing the finish line of this incredible adventure, Quest shows just how far you can go on low cost airlines and the ways in which these carriers are changing the game for the airline industry.

Thursday May 12 at 6:30pm on CNN.
