Comedycentral.com.au has launched its first Aussie comedy shorts, Trendy from Australian absurdist sketch group, Aunty Donna.

The series features actors and writers, Mark Samual Bonanno, Broden Kelly and Zachary Ruane taking off what’s Trendy in today’s hipster society.

Trendy is Comedy Central’s first ever Aussie series and is made up of five episodes titled Cocktail, Pitch Perfect, Chef Matthias, Eat Mark’s Face and Haven’t You Done Well 6. A new sketch will premiere every Friday beginning May 6th.

It is also available on Fetch TV’s Comedy Central, channel 108.

Aunty Donna exploded onto the Melbourne comedy scene in 2012 with their unique brand of live absurdist sketches. They followed on to create an award winning YouTube channel, garnering over 100,000 subscribers and 13 million views, demonstrating their clear cult following with their fans demanding for more.

Comedy Central Australia, which recently landed down under with the website in January, followed by the Fetch TV channel in April, will continue to commission new and exclusive content from home grown Aussie talent, with the next local commission being announced mid-May.
