Dead heat for ratings week

Ratings: Nine wins primary channels, but Seven matches them in network share.

Last week Nine and Seven tied in network share.

It was Nine’s best performance of the year, thanks largely to The Voice. Nine won in primary channel share, but Seven’s multichannels saw them equal Nine in network share.

It was also an improved result for TEN, landing ahead of ABC thanks largely to MasterChef Australia.

Seven won 16-39 but Nine led in 18-49 and 25-54.

Best brands for each network were:

Nine: The Voice (Mon: 1.4m), Nine News (Sun: 1.28m), A Current Affair (922,000) and Adele Live in New York (834,000).

Seven: Seven News (1.17m), House Rules (Sun: 830,000), Seven Year Switch (820,000) and Home and Away (796,000).

TEN: MasterChef (Wed: 1.06m), Gogglebox (731,000), NCIS (638,000) and The Project (7pm: 585,000).

ABC: ABC News (Sun: 852,000), Grand Designs (800,000), Father Brown (799,000) and Four Corners (799,000).

SBS: Michael Mosley: Trust Me I’m a Doctor (278,000), Great Continental Railway Journeys (276,000), Petra: Lost City of Stone (272,000) and The Story of China (267,000).

Seven scored from Wednesday to Saturday while Nine took out Sunday – Tuesday. ABC only bettered TEN on Saturday.

Seven was victorious in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, while Nine finished first in Sydney and Brissy.
