Holding out for a Live TV moment
"It would have been much more fun if I had remembered the words," Julia Morris says of recreating an 80s classic.

If anyone can deliver a memorable Live TV moment at the Logies, one Julia (“75 years in the business”) Morris rarely disappoints.
Last year she announced a category winner before acknowledging the nominees. Last night she was coaxed into a repeat performance on her New Faces appearance at the age of 17 with “Holding Out for a Hero.”
She told TV Tonight it was genuinely impromptu, with no rehearsal.
“It would have been much more fun if I had remembered the words,” she laughed.
“I did have that moment where I’m like, ‘For the love of God this was 21 years ago. What?’
“It could have gone horrifically wrong.”

Music Director John Foreman led the band in a performance that lit up the room.
“I went backstage, got some lipstick, had a joke with Jimmy Barnes, spoke to John Foreman quickly and then went on stage!,” she recalled.
“That’s why I did so much crazy dancing –to take the focus away from the words!
“I didn’t even know if I could hit those notes, which obviously the answer is ‘No, I couldn’t!’
“I will have to explode on the stage next year to top that.”

Julia is a genuinely funny comedienne in Australian tv. Why isn’t she used more for hosting gigs
