Nine claims first outright ratings week

Ratings: Black ties at the Logies, but no ties with Seven, as Nine finally has a decisive ratings win in the ratings.

Nine finally has its first outright win of the ratings year, finishing the week ahead of Seven. And it’s only taken until mid-May.

Nine and Seven both tied for the previous week (a result that will likely change with Timeshifted viewing), but last week it won fair and square thanks to the Logie Awards and The Voice.

It was also a good week for SBS due to Eurovision (Sunday show falls into this week’s data).

TEN: MasterChef Australia (Tues: 1.03m), Have You Been Paying Attention? (681,000), NCIS (646,000) and The Project (7pm: 642,000).

ABC: ABC News (766,000), Midsomer Murders (748,000), Grand Designs (746,000) and Father Brown (702,000).

SBS: Eurovision Song Contest (Semi Final 2: 599,000), Great Continental Railway Journeys (365,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (293,000) and The Story of China (286,000).

Nine scored the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Nine ranked first on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Seven took Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. ABC and SBS both bettered TEN on Saturday.

Nine won Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Seven held Adelaide and Perth.
