Totally looking forward to Season 2 of the scathing UnREAL, which rips Reality TV apart through Drama.
It returns to Stan from Tuesday June 7, same day as the US, with new episodes available every week.
Set against the backdrop of the hit dating competition show ‘Everlasting’, UnREAL is led by flawed heroine Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby), who returns as supervising producer, renowned for her skills manipulating her relationships with, and among, the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage that the show’s dispassionate executive producer, Quinn King (Constance Zimmer), demands. What ensues once again is an eye-opening look at what happens in the world of reality TV.

Season 1 just got better and better, with the final few episodes being the best of the season. Hopefully it won’t take too long before it gets to SBS.
Can’t wait for season 2! And I’m really impressed that Stan is able to air it inline with the US, I thought that it would be delayed until after the season had already screened over there. I hope that’s a promising indication for them to be able to negotiate that with other programs. I was going to drop my Stan contract in a couple of weeks (after I’ve finished a couple of boxsets I’m in the middle of) but I’ll keep it for now. I really do love the flexibility of the monthly memberships with Netflix and Stan.
You might be waiting 12 months though.
This was meant to a reply to the comment about SBS watching Unreal
Yep, enjoyed this but also happy to wait until it gets to SBS.
S1 was brilliantly scathing stuff – one of the unexpected delights out of left field this year for me, great that SBS2 got to screen it.
Loved season 1 (yes, I am shouting with excitement)…
Can’t wait for season 2 … is it, by any chance, about a Bachelorette show? 😉
Now that would be “such fun”!
This is the most laceratingly funny satire of “reality” TV I’ve ever seen. And to think that it was commissioned by the Lifetime channel. Why can’t Australia come up with something like this?
Eh? We did Frontline in 1994. Maybe ask Lifetime what took them so long?
I’ll watch season 2 when it airs on sbs.
Moi aussi.
