Australian singer Sia has interrupted the Live Survivor finale after calling out to host Jeff Probst while he was talking to the show’s contestants.

The singer and show fan told Probst she had been so moved by the animal welfare demonstrated by contestant Tai, that she wanted to make charitable donation.

Despite her concealed face, Probst said he had met the singer previously, and allowed her a rare Live TV moment.

“Your authenticity and care for animals really inspired me so I want to donate $50,000 to you and I want to donate $50,000 to your choice of animal charity,” said Sia. “I want to say thank you for showing America how to be kind to animals.”

Her gesture follows Tai’s caring for live chickens on the Survivor island, in which one named ‘Mark’ became an unofficial member of the show’s tribe.

“We cannot be so human head-centred,” said Tai. “Without the whole eco-system we will be gone sooner than we think.

“Thank you so much… I’m speechless.”

  1. In the same way gym sessions never count without the instagram selfie, charitable donations never count unless its in front of cameras…
