WA Screen Awards 2016: nominations

Nominations for the West Australian Screen Awards were announced in Perth last night.

The awards merge Film and TV into genre and long / short form categories.

ABC comedy The Legend of Gavin Tanner, written and directed by Matt Lovkis and Henry Inglis, received 5 nominations. SBS doco Who Do You Think You Are? was also another TV title to get the nod.

Winners will be announced on Monday July 4 in the Heath Ledger Theatre at the the State Theatre Centre of WA, hosted by Rhys Nicholson.
