You would have thought with Nine’s line-up last night it would all go their way, but TV audiences can be tricky to second-guess…. in the end the night fell Seven’s way.

  1. So what was ACA’s slant on the Nauru detention centre?

I didn’t watch it as I … ummm … had something better to do (toilets don’t clean themselves, you know!)

  2. The Briefcase has been spamming every single ad break on Channel 9 for the past two weeks. I think 700k would be disappointing for them given the mass amount of promos they’ve aired for it

  3. Surprised Ten were able to command the 7:30pm onwards timeslots (more or less), considering Nine’s new offerings.

HYBPA was massive in Melbourne (for 8:30pm these days), beat Love Child.

Yet Love Child was actually higher in Melbourne, despite the NSW production.

    1. Yes, I always enjoy Love Child – one of the few consistently good local dramas of the last few years with a strong and charismatic female cast.

  4. It will be interesting to see if 7’s prime-time “investigation” series takes off. 2 this week (as a trial against State of Origin) & then at least another 1 advertised for next week.

My guess is that 9 will advertise the hell out of ‘The Briefcase’ during the SoO match.

    1. I doubt it. Origin is top dollar for advertisers so nine would take those rather than promoting some rubbish show that will drop in ratings over time regardless of the level of promotion they do.
