There is still no confirmation on the setting of Season 6 of anthology saga American Horror Story, but Ryan Murphy is expert at teasing via his social media.

So it’s no surprise that FX has teased with a 6 and question mark today.

FX CEO John Landgraf has previously indicated it will be set in the present day and will include flashbacks. “It’s set in the present although with echoes of the past,” he said. “It’s set in two time periods …but principally in the present.”

Cheyenne Jackson has previously confirmed his return while Lady Gaga is on the record as being interested, noting, “I can’t promise you how or when or anything like that.”

Sarah Paulson has also told Variety, “Now there’s nothing he [Ryan Murphy] could ask me to do that I would say no to. Ever.”

We await more news on Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare and Kathy Bates.

American Horror Story screens in Australia on ELEVEN.

  1. I reluctantly stuck with last season, gave it the benefit of the doubt and hoped it would have a good ending. but i was disapointed, it had no direction or decent storyline. But i did like lady gaga, i thought the whole cast was very strong, they were wasted on that script.

  2. Yep last season sucked, I gave up after a few episodes, Gaga was woeful, so hope she isn’t in it or in it for a less prominent role, however I will give the new season a chance.

  3. I wonder if this means a later start to the season, as they generally start filming towards late US summer.
Hope it is an improvement on last season, I gave up pretty early on.

  4. Personally, I gave up on the last series a couple of eps in (wasn’t alone in that) and the idea of more Lady Gaga does not enthuse me at all.
