Seven will be grateful House Rules did so well last night.

It’s 1.02m viewers will help make up for the awful 383,000 by Kiss Bang Love. Losing 637,000 viewers from one show to the next is programmer hell. At three outings now, it’s clear viewers have not connected with the brash title and simple format.

But Seven was not alone in disappointing news. Nine’s 20 to One fell from 759,000 to 645,000 this week, which in turn impacted on Britain’s Got Talent. It had been increasing with each week but the softer lead in saw it drop to 624,000.

The news was good for TEN with MasterChef winning its slot with 1.05m. It was the top non-news show of the night and topped all three demos. TEN even managed to beat Nine.

Seven network won with 29.7% then TEN 24.7%,  Nine 23.0%, ABC 15.3% and SBS 7.2%.

Seven News was #1 with 1.24m / 1.14m for Seven then House Rules (1.02m), Home and Away (842,000), The Chase (733,000 / 475,000) and Kiss Bang Love (383,000). Ramsay’s Hotel Hell was 187,000.

MasterChef won its slot with 1.07m for TEN. NCIS was 720,000, The Project was 694,000 / 494,000, TEN Eyewitness News was 628,000, NCIS: LA was 546,000 / 283,000.

Nine News was best for Nine (1.09m / 1.05m) followed by A Current Affair (930,000), 20 to One (645,000), Hot Seat (632,000), and Britain’s Got Talent (624,000). 2 Broke Girls was 297,000 / 181,000.

ABC News (816,000), 7:30 (630,000), Catalyst (502,000), Revolution School (450,000) and Foreign Correspondent (345,000) comprised ABC’s night.

On SBS it was Great Continental Railway Journeys (355,000), Insight (261,000), Dateline (206,000) and SBS World News (185,000).

ABC2’s The Hive topped multichannels with 251,000.

The Morning Show: 170,000 / 129,000
Today Extra: 145,000 / 91,000
Studio 10: 93,000 / 53,000

  1. Whom ever came up with the idea of Kiss Bang Love should not be working in TV. What were they thinking??? They should think more Australian.. Like a Koala… Eats Roots Leaves.

  2. I never thought there could be a program more insulting to my intelligence than “Gogglebox”, then along came “Kiss Bang Love”.
Thank heavens for Foxtel where we can always find something worthwhile to watch. Enjoying “Home In Time For The Weekend” on 106 currently and, of course, the perennial favourite “Escape To The Country”.

  3. I watched 20 to 1 last night and found it entertaining. Never tuned in before because I’m not a fan of Bert Newton.

Kiss Bang Love didn’t start until 9:20pm last night, quite a late timeslot for the show. Not surprised at those ratings.

Britains Got Talent was crammed full of ads, id rather watch the episodes ad free on YouTube

  4. Kiss Bang Love will be gone next Tuesday on those numbers. Shows we all have some taste.
NCIS:LA did huge numbers for 9.30pm its best all year.

  5. So We can all but assume ‘Kiss Bang Gone’? Haven’t watched, but disappointed to see 20 to 1 drop, only because it’s not another reality show. We all want less reality, but then we tune out when that actually happens?

      1. In the decade since the original 20 to One, youtube has cornered the market in ‘best of’ and ‘funniest’ lists. A new one is released every second day.

No surprise it is sinking, but zero pity for Nine who have slotted it at 7:30pm this Sunday in place of The Voice.
