Chief Programming Officer, Beverley McGarvey, said: “The introduction earlier this year of online catch-up viewing [or VPM] data and the expansion of television catch-up viewing data from seven days to 28 days means we now have a clearer and more robust picture of the total audiences of our content, across television and online platforms.

“The new data clearly demonstrates that the reach and impact of our content is much greater than the overnight television audience numbers indicate.”

Video views: 27.12.15 to 25.6.16.

  1. Shouldn’t this warrant that Neighbours is returned to the primary channel? TEN are a bunch of twats for allowing the decline of this icon.

  2. Tenplay: great when the stream doesn’t freeze and the audio matches the visuals! Worse than 9Now But miles better than Plus7 in that regard.

    1. I find it works better than any of the platforms. ABC iView and SBS’s are pretty steady but Seven isn’t so bad but often gets stuck in commercial loops. I’ve yet to watch anything on Nines’.

  3. These numbers are for a period of 6 months! That means you have to divide them all by 182 to get a pro-rata daily tally.

Masterchef looks a lot less impressive when you realise that it’s daily views are a little over 82,000. Elementary is a mere 9000 per day.

    1. But the episodes wouldn’t have been up for 182 days each! A better way would be to divide the number by how many episodes have aired in that period

  4. We usually record it on the PS3, or if we forgot to do that, watch it on TenPlay because my partner and I work alternate shifts so I’ll watch it when I get home but leave it for him when he does later in the evening. I usually forget to record Shark Tank so almost every episode gets watched on TenPlay.

  5. Interesting. I am surprised MC has views as high as this. I always assumed reality TV did not rate as high through streaming services due to the fast pace of eliminations and to need to view it before the next show aired. Good news for 10. Nice to know Neighbours (although not a fan) still has loyal fans through this method of viewing.
