It's a new-look logo as Nine refreshes its suite of online platforms and ditches the msn.

ninemsn.com.au has today relaunched as nine.com.au, with its suite of platforms in news, travel, fashion, celebrity & more under a new logo.

Clicking on the TV tab takes readers to the 9NOW catch-up site while the Nine-branded TV FIX guide, which has recently undergone its own Guide remake, remains a separate URL.

Alex Parsons, Nine’s Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, said: “It’s a destination that has played a pivotal role in the hearts and minds of consumers for close to 20 years and this next great chapter is set to be our most exciting yet, as we set about creating a more powerful media ecosystem that provides consumers with the widest breadth of content, delivered in a more synergistic way across all of Nine’s platforms.”

Nine.com.au Editor, Emma Chamberlain, said: “For us, today is far more than just a logo change for our network. The launch of nine.com.au cements our place in the Nine family. In practice, our digital editorial team now works more closely with the broadcast teams, and the scale that gives us opens up a whole new world of storytelling possibilities, especially in video.”

With news, sport, lifestyle and entertainment content, the new look nine.com.au is the online gateway to 11 well-known brands, including 9News, Wide World of Sports, video-on-demand product 9Now, leading entertainment site 9TheFIX, lifestyle sites 9Honey, 9Coach, 9Pickle, 9Homes, 9Elsewhere, 9Lifestyle, and the newly launched food destination, 9Kitchen.

The launch of nine.com.au will be supported by a multi-million-dollar marketing campaign, including television advertising, radio, digital outdoor, magazines, targeted social media, search, as well as tapping into Nine’s on-air program integration.

  1. I don’t like it either , the nine font looks…..wrong. Why not just match the simple .com.au font below ?
No doubt some cool design studio has been paid a fortune to create it. I recall many years ago I questioned the look of an on screen title, saying I couldn’t understand it. The answer – “you’re not meant too – it’s Design,”

  2. I like the new logo. I think this refresh has been long overdue. Although the only time I visited the site was the redirect after logging out of Outlook email.
