Report: First Contact cast

The cast for the second season of SBS  / NITV series First Contact includes Natalie Imbruglia, Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, ex-politician David Oldfield, actress Nicki Wendt and Miss Australia 2012 Renae Ayris according to a report today.

The Daily Telegraph says filming on the series is underway in the Top End, moving from Tennant Creek in through Arnhem Land and across to Broome.

TV Tonight can reveal Tom Ballard is a sixth cast member.

This season, again hosted by Ray Martin, adopts a Go Back to Where You Came From process of well-known faces confronted by issues and living conditions amongst Indigenous communities.

The article suggests Imbruglia and Oldfield are offside, including refusing to travel together during production.

SBS confirmed the Blackfella Films production has been filming for the past three or four weeks adding, “While I can’t say who is on the show it’s fair to say people with diverse opinions have been cast.”

The series is due later this year.
