NCIS: LA creator, Aussie writer Shane Brennan, has signed a new two-year deal with CBS TV Studios for his production company Shane Brennan Productions.
Under the extension, Brennan will focus on development.
Deadline reports Brennan will remain an executive producer on NCIS: LA, which was renewed for an eighth season, but will step down as showrunner after seven seasons with exec producer R. Scott Gemmill to take over.
Brennan has several projects in development including The Expendables, based on the hit movie franchise.
Additionally, he is adapting Luna: New Moon, the first book in an upcoming science fiction series by Ian McDonald.
