Wimbledon 2016: guide

Coverage of Wimbledon 2016 will begin from Monday June 27 on Seven, 7TWO, 7mate and 7Tennis app.

Seven’s coverage of Wimbledon 2016 will begin from Monday June 27.

Screening on Seven, 7TWO, 7mate and 7Tennis app, including the best two matches Live.

During the first week the live broadcast kicks off at 8.30pm (AEST). From Day 8 to Day 11 the coverage begins at 10pm.

Firebrand Nick Kyrgios, world no. 22 Bernard Tomic, an in-form Sam Stosur and a host of Aussies will lead the charge at Wimbledon as fans enjoy live and free coverage of The Championships on Seven.

Beginning on Monday June 27, Seven’s broadcast will be hosted by Todd Woodbridge with expert commentary from three-time Wimbledon champion John Newcombe, along with Rennae Stubbs, Sam Smith and Geoff Masters.

In addition, there will be commentary from a string of the biggest names in tennis via the host broadcaster BBC, among them Lleyton Hewitt, Jim Courier, John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Martina Navratilova andLindsay Davenport.

Tennis fans will see the best two matches live and free each day on Channel 7, 7TWO, 7mate and 7Tennis app, along with plenty of other top matches. And of course we’ll keep viewers up to date with all the results and happenings around the courts.

All singles and doubles finals, as well as the singles’ semi-finals, will be exclusively live on Channel 7, starting on 7TWO.

On Sunday June 26 in the lead-up to the tournament Seven will also be airing:

2016 Wimbledon Preview outlining the form of this year’s players – 1.30pm Sunday on 7TWO.

The Wimbledon Film – the definitive story of the 2015 Championships – 2pm Sunday on 7TWO.

  1. There goes Escape to the Country….Oh well at least 7FLix is not all tennis…and I can get it now….
    And lots of other channels…I will be happy just to see the grabs and results on ABC News 24…enough for me.

  2. Kyrgios and Tomic are our country’s men’s representatives. Ugh. I used to cringe a little at Hewitt’s antics but at least he gave his all for his country.
