  1. As far as I know SyFy’s ‘The Expanse’ hasn’t been shown on any Australian network or platform, which is a tragedy as it’s superb SF. It aired in the US over six months ago now. Last I heard series 2 was in the works, yet we still haven’t seen series 1 in Australia.

    1. I contacted SyFy on facebook about this show and they said they ‘had no plans at this stage to show The Expanse’. I’ve since ordered the DVD through Amazon. When you consider the amount of crap SyFy produce and show, you have to wonder why a show with the quality of the expanse doesn’t get air time.

  2. disappointed that sbs has still not aired this is england ’90. It aired in the UK in september 2015, and came out on bluray in december of same yeair.

  3. This is a great list, David. Thanks for being so thorough with your coverage on TVTonight in general, I used to miss so many shows I’d been looking forward to because of poor advertising of series start-dates from networks before I found your site. 🙂

I’m wondering if there’s any word on local broadcasts for My Mad Fat Diary or Chewing Gum, both from E4 in the UK? My Mad Fat Diary is already wrapped up after three series so I’m considering giving up hope and just buying the DVDs from Amazon, but Chewing Gum is still ongoing and it won two BAFTAs earlier this year so I’m curious if it’ll actually make it over here at some point. Based on their trailers and what I’ve read about them I thought they’d be a good fit for SBS2 or ABC2, or maybe one of the streaming services, but apparently not. Then again, I assumed Raised By Wolves would be similarly overlooked until SBS OnDemand…

  4. Thanks David. Some good ones there (unfortunately, not Beowulf, ugh).

The blurb for Unforgiven appears to be missing and a trailer for Hunters. I recall that you posted one on another article but here’s a (non)-link anyway – youtube.com/watch?v=L-ReGtWNs1I

  5. Great article. I haven’t heard of most of these.

1864 was on late Tuesday nights on SBS in June. Not sure if it is a repeat, but the first episode of Unforgotten is on BBC First tomorrow at 8:30pm.

  6. I’m surprised chicago med is not on that list. I’ve heard no word of a broadcaster or an air date and I’m sure there are people who have seen their characters on fire or pd that may want to check this out yet a season has aired and no word.

  7. I think I have seen at least 3 of these. The Legacy has been on Foxtel and SBS (Season 1 at least) Unforgotten was on BBC First and so was The Outcast I think. All pretty good.
