Tassie-filmed mystery The Kettering Incident is proving to be a hit for Foxtel, with consolidated cumulative figures for the first episode averaging 532,000 viewers (includes repeats & Timeshifted data).
That places it second only to Wentworth in the local drama launches (although it’s difficult to make direct comparisons to historic dramas when platforms and audiences were significantly different):
This week it drew 119,000 in Overnight viewers as the top non-Sports drawcard on Monday.
Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh said: “We are thrilled our subscribers are embracing this bold and provocative new Australian drama series. Foxtel’s continued commitment to telling Australian stories such as The Kettering Incident, Secret City, Wentworth and A Place to Call Home is striking a chord with our viewers, who continue to enjoy our diverse range of drama commissions.
“The incredibly strong result is something we are very proud of and a testament to the creators, writers, cast and crew of The Kettering Incident who have delivered Foxtel another ground-breaking Australian production.”
The Porchlight Films production is co-created by Victoria Madden and Vincent Sheehan and features Elizabeth Debicki with Matthew Le Nevez.

Great to read this. Series has me hooked. And there’s more than enough pros to outweigh the minor cons.
Doesn’t APTCH rank on that list?
Good question. At the time Foxtel claimed 500k for all viewings of S03E01 on first run which suggests it should be 3rd.
The article though says the list is for “local drama _launches_”, and APTCH’s first 2 series were on 7, so that’s probably the distinction.
I presume these are only subscription tv series debuts. APtCH debuted on FTA.
