Preliminary figures saw House Rules edge ahead with 1.19m viewers, down on 2015’s 1.3m, with The Voice on 1.00m and MasterChef Australia on 936,000. TEN’s show won the Demos although House Rules snuck ahead in 25-54.

Both Seven and Nine reality shows ran overtime meaning shows will be adjusted, including for Sunday Night and 60 Minutes.

Nine had a narrow win on the primary channel but Seven Network won overall with 29.8% then Nine 28.6%, TEN 20.1%, ABC 15.5% and SBS 6.1%.

Seven News was #1 for Seven with 1.37m followed by House Rules (Winner: 1.19m / Grand Final: 1.14m) and Sunday Night (740,000). A last minute scheduling change saw Wimbledon move to the primary channel with Bones only screening in Perth.

  1. Thought HR would’ve done better numbers. Maybe if they aired it last Tuesday instead of holding off. Still been a good season and yay its back next year. Now MC’s got my full attention! ?

    1. 7 probably realised they had the ratings week all wrapped up last week. These HR figures – slightly disappointing or not – will assist in ensuring another ratings week win… Which means the ratings year is almost done & dusted as a contest.

Personally, I don’t think I’ve moved off of Showcase & BBC First for any Sunday night this year. ‘Undercover’ is another quality offering to add to The Night Manager, Happy Valley, Secret City & the upcoming ‘The Night Of’.

  2. Wonder how the result may be if Ten started MC at 7pm? Heaven knows why they didnt from the start. I applause them for sticking to it but seriously they need to review it.

  3. Ratings are bad for House Rules…

A Ch 7 reality that only got 1.1m & even dropped from last year?
