Producers are casting for a new SBS documentary series in which people are given a chance to reconcile with someone that they have grown apart from.

A casting notice for Look Me in the Eye (it’s unclear if this is the show title) says the show from Endemol Shine Australia wants people who are willing to share their story about why they became distant from somebody.

“Are you living with an unresolved conflict with a family member, friend or colleague?” it asks.

“Are you at a loss as to how you can reconcile with this person? Do you want the opportunity for that reconciliation and to start a fresh? Perhaps you just need to see that person one more time.

“Look Me In The Eye could provide an opportunity to heal old wounds. Could sitting face to face and looking in each other’s eyes for two minutes help you find the closure you deserve?

“No words are spoken, but so much can be said.”

The series is seeking people of all ages and backgrounds, 18 years or older, available for a 3-day-shoot period between 31st October 2016 and 16th December 2016.

  1. And this fits the SBS charter how? Have I missed something? I feel as though SBS gets away with a lot just by saying they’re looking for “people of all ages and backgrounds”
