  1. ‘Roots’ was up by 2.000, an amount that must be within the statistical error-story would be that it declined greatly from the highly promoted premier and levelled off at the end. Unlike the original miniseries which appeared at a time when there was very little film or TV about slavery from the Black perspective, that’s well and truly changed now.

  2. Watched ABC2 for the first time in a while as I wanted to catch the extended Gruen. Kept on getting screen artifacts and audio blips but ABC1 and 24 appeared to be unaffected. Rescan made no diff.

Worse, afterwards there was a promo for Catastrophe “at 9:00pm” and Broad City “at 10:00pm” when both of these were listed in online guides and the EPG as starting at 9:19pm and 10:13pm respectively.

This is the sort of misleading crap I expect from the commercial networks.

  3. Considering 9 used to have Thursday nights in the bag, it seems a sign they are off the boil. Well done 10 on consistently attracting viewers and offering an alternative. Don’t watch dating shows, but still happy for the network.
