FOX Sports 506 will become a dedicated 24 / 7 channel showcasing Mount Panorama action during the Bathurst 1000.

From Monday 3 October the pop-up channel will feature every session Live in HD, classic races and a number of entertainment programs surround Bathurst.

FOX Sports CEO, Patrick Delany said: “The Bathurst 1000 is one of the most iconic sporting events in Australia and with the 10 year anniversary of the Peter Brock Trophy adding to the occasion this year, it’s the perfect opportunity for us to dive deeper into the action and excitement than ever before with our new, dedicated 24/7 channel.”

Jessica Yates returns to host a brand new, four part documentary series, Bathurst Legends, that delves into the folklore of The Great Race, and the lives and stories of some of the biggest names to have conquered the mountain.

The premiere episode on October 3 examines the greatest victories, defeats and battles of a collection of Bathurst legends, as told by the drivers who raced with and against them.

Continuing across the next three nights, the series takes an in-depth look at the incredible careers of Craig Lowndes and Peter Brock, and examines one of Australia’s greatest ever sporting rivalries between Holden and Ford.

Attention turns to the track from October 6, with Mark Skaife and Neil Crompton calling each session, while Russell Ingall and Yates analyse the action and all the big talking points across the weekend.
Crompton and Skaife return to host Pit Lane LIVE at 6.30pm EST on October 7. The program will be filled with challenges, interviews and highlights from the first two days of the event, and will take viewers behind the scenes as drivers and teams prepare for the biggest race weekend of the year.

FOX Sports News 500 will be stationed on the ground at Mount Panorama to deliver the latest and breaking news throughout the week, with foxsports.com.au providing rolling results, news and highlights.
