Iggy Azalea signs deal to develop content with NBCU

X Factor judge Iggy Azalea has signed a deal to develop projects with NBCU and Wilshire Studios.

Under the deal, her company Azalea Street will develop content geared toward millennials, on topics such as social justice and empowering young women.

The content may be scripted or unscripted and distributed via broadcast TV, cable or digital.

“Creating television that is reflective of my generation has always been an aspiration of mine,” Azalea said in a statement. “I am incredibly excited to start working on my ideas and am humbled that Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios have given me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

The Aussie rapper joins Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian on Seven’s upcoming X Factor soon.
