  1. I’m sorry, but wizzkid is right. The ratings do to up late sometimes. I do think he could have worded it a little more politely, however. I cringed reading it as I knew it would be met by an equally assertive response. I’m sorry David, but when I read comments asking you questions about ratings, it always seems people don’t want to upset you and they’re walking on egg shells so they don’t get a vile reply. If they have a question, you have an answe. Simple. A ‘check the news feed’ or ‘I’m not answering the same question’ feedback is a slightly inappropriate more than once.

    • Thanks for feedback. Ratings went up late during Hiatus as advised, and are later on weekends (as I’ve mentioned before OzTAM does not supply these on weekends, but I work overtime to provide these). Weekday ratings otherwise don’t go up late unless there is some sort of anomaly (maybe 2% of the time?). This can be verified via my Twitter feed. If there is a viewing problem for an individual reader -and this can happen with site caching- I am happy to work through and try and resolve it. The reason I advise people to check the ratings wrap is to actually teach people how the site works, otherwise with the thousands of readers here then yes I am repeating myself for every individual ratings question every day, which becomes impractical. So no I can’t spend time answering the same qs twice, it makes better sense to educate where the info is found in a self-service location. The suggestion I am running ratings 2 days late is patently untrue, thanks.

  2. ratings are still being uploaded late. This site used to load the evenings ratings at 10am sharp the following day. Now it’s afternoon or evening or evening two days after that the ratings are being uploaded. It’s spontaneous and unreliable having ratings loaded when the site moderator feels they can now be bothered uploading. Is TV Tonight wants to remain a top site for TV goss then the people behind it need to be reliable and upload the evening ratings at 10am sharp the following day 7 days a week all year round. If it’s a one man operation then maybe it’s time to spend some of those juicy advertising dollars on a staff member to work through the figures and upload on time when the main man is out of town… I’m
    Giving TV Tonight another week and a half to get its act together and upload everyday on time otherwise I will be looking else where to direct my clients and associates…

    • This is completely incorrect. Check the time on the comments below (or my Twitter feed) and you will find you are wrong. I have sent you an email to offer to work through viewing problems you may have, but it has bounced back, so you leave me little option to assist you. Having a working email is a condition of ID membership for this very reason. That said I will not engage with someone who makes demanding threats behind anonymity based on incorrect info. TVT has 45,000+ posts for free and you’re giving me another chance? Seriously. If you want to resolve this the offer is there, but kindly lift the tone.
