SBS premieres doco series Richard Hammond’s Jungle Quest set in the Brazilian jungle on Monday.
The two part series premiered in the UK last year.
From the age of seven, Richard Hammond dreamed of working as a wildlife photographer in the Amazon Rainforest, but life got in the way – until now. Some 38 years later, Hammond realises his childhood dream and heads to the Brazilian rainforest on a photographic quest. Keen to inspire a new generation to become guardians of this unique ecosystem, Hammond battles heat, humidity and torrential rain, and comes face to face with his personal fears.
Part One:
Hammond is in the mighty Amazon itself, leaving the main river to enter the flooded forest in tiny dug-out canoes. It soon becomes apparent that the inhabitants of the Amazon are not keen to play ball as Richard struggles to even see the creatures spotted by his guide Eduardo, let alone photograph them.
Monday, 12 September 8.30pm on SBS.

Is Eduardo the same person who was the chief life guard when Hammond hosted Total Wipeout? (tongue in cheek)
