Emmy Awards 2016: winners

“Tonight is the night we come together to celebrate shows we will never get around to watching,” said host Jimmy Kimmel as the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards get underway at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

“If Donald Trump gets elected builds that wall the first person we’re throwing over is Mark Burnett,” he joked. “The tribe has spoken.”

Kimmel also joked shows would need a dragon or a white bronco car if they expected to win but warned that if there are any winners not present then the trophy will go to the next person -aptly referencing Maggie Smith who has won 3 times but never attended. “You’re Downton Absent.”
