Final 3 face off for The Recruit

Daniel Cox, Matt Eagles & Jordan Treloar will find out next week who will be drafted into an AFL club.

Three remaining players will compete next week for the title of FOX8 reality series The Recruit.

Daniel Cox (21) from Broome, Matt Eagles (26) from Adelaide and Victorian Jordan Treloar (23) will compete in the final next Wednesday night.

As previously tipped, 2014 host Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald will return for the Live final next week at Crown where one will be drafted by an AFL team.

Head Coach Mick Malthouse said: “All three players have a certain X factor. Daniel, he has explosive lateral movement and pace. He also has a very good football brain and skills to back up his decision making.

“Jordan has outstanding pace for a tall player. We played Jordan purposely out of position to broaden his knowledge of the game and he was able to adjust very well to key back and wing positions.

“And Matt proved a very reliable ruckman both in the air and on the follow up on the ground. He went forward and learnt more about the game to be an AFL player,” he said.

18 clubs will have the option to draft the series winner, or in the event that more than one club nominates to draft The Recruit, the winner will get to pick the club of his choice.

Wednesday, September 21 at 8.30pm on FOX8.

  1. It’s been a great series again and I hope Foxtel go around again with it next year… the final three symbolise where AFL is at… no midfielders in the finale… there’s a small forward pocket (a burst player), a ruckmen and a utility. But that’s a discussion for a different site ?
